Relationships can be interesting. They have their ups and downs. The greatest question you can ask yourself is are you ready for one?
Ladybug Circa 1994 is set in early 90s and follows three young women who are navigating their lives in and out of relationships. Their lives are definitely not without drama.
Ladybug is something you definitely need to experience for yourself as you travel back in time with Simone, DaShae and Amanda.
In the first quarter of last year, DIG TOONS MEDIA launched an app. This app encompassed the start of multiple storylines and games related to these storylines. Although the launch was well received, we determined that the major barrier to enjoying the app was the sign up process.
As of this month, we have launched DIG TOONS MEDIA STUDIO as a solution this barrier. DIG TOONS MEDIA STUDIO now allows you to enjoy the DIG TOONS MEDIA storylines and games without the hassle of signing up for the app.
The DIG TOONS MEDIA team decided to do something fun over the weekend. As a team that works remotely, getting out of the house and absorbing some vitamin D while staying safe is important to do every once in a while.
Jerri and Izzy, two of the DIG TOONS MEDIA team members, thought of the idea to do a fry challenge as seen online. The “Fry Challenge” is simply taste-testing and rating a group of fast-food chain fries to conclude which location has the best fries.
Damon, from DIG TOONS MEDIA, thought it would be a cool idea to create rating cards to fill out for the taste testing. The cards looked like this. They consisted of five fast-food chains and 3 rating categories.
Fast Food Chains: (The ones we visited)
Freddy’s
Wendy’s
Popeyes
Chick-fil-A
Rating Categories:
Taste (Determined by the overall flavor and seasoning.)
Crispiness (How crunchy and crisp the fry is. Can you hear a crunch?)
Quantity (Do they give you a good amount of fries. Is the cost worth the amount?)
The card also consisted of a rating scale with a rating from 1 to 10. 1 representing “not edible” and 10 representing “Anton Ego”.
*Anton Ego is a reference from the 2007 film Ratatouille.
Before the tasting, everyone wrote down on the back of their cards their prediction of which fast-food restaurant was going to score the highest.
Here were our predictions:
DAMON: Chick-fil-A
MARCIA: Chick-fil- A
JERRI: Popeyes
ZEE: Popeyes
IZZY: Popeyes
Freddy’s
At 11 AM the DIG TOONS MEDIA TEAM took off and headed to the first stop which was Freddy’s. Freddy’s Frozen Custard and Steakburgers. The team had visited Freddys before, but they all learned in this challenge that fries taste completely different when ordered by themselves.
Here were the scores:
DAMON – 23
MARCIA – 25
JERRI – 21
ZEE – 25
IZZY – 21
DAMON “I liked Freddy’s fries, but they were a little too thin for me.” ZION “Shoestring fries with a nice crunch and flavor! That’s all I need.”
Freddy’s fries surprised the entire team.
Popeyes
The next stop was Popeyes. The team was excited and had high expectations for these fries. If you’re familiar with Popeyes you know they specialize in fried chicken. Popeyes fries are claimed to be one of the best fries you can ever have. They’re seasoned and crispy.
After this tasting, the team was surprised to find their expectations unfulfilled.
Here were the scores:
DAMON – 18
MARCIA – 18
JERRI – 16
ZEE – 12
IZZY – 19
ZION “I was honestly a little disappointed. I thought it would be crunchier and have a stronger flavor. Popeyes fries taste different alone.”
The Popeyes fries didn’t add up to what the team had envisioned.
Wendy’s
After Popeyes, the team headed to Wendy’s. Wendy’s is known for its quality food. Hence, their tagline: “Quality is our Recipe”.
Here were the scores:
DAMON – 17
MARCIA – 17
JERRI – 14
ZEE – 14
IZZY – 17
MARCIA “They were horrible. They had no taste. There was a lack of salt. It was just not good.”
Most of the team agreed on the fact that the fries had little to no flavor and the fries needed salt.
Chick-fil-A
The last stop was Chick-fil-A. The team was all too familiar with this fast-food chain and the taste of their fries, so it was made the last stop. Chick-fil-A is one of the largest American fast food restaurant chains and the largest whose specialty is chicken sandwiches. They are also known for their classic waffle fries.
Here were the scores:
DAMON – 24
MARCIA – 16
JERRI – 16
ZEE – 15
IZZY – 20
They were decent. They just wern’t as flavorful.
It’s time to count up the scores.
The fast-food chain that had the highest overall score and won the fry challenge was Freddy’s. None of us predicted Freddy’s to be number one of the fry challenge, but their classic crunchy shoe string fries won us all over.
Stay Tooned.

“Well, that sums it up. It’s time to get creative. We may not know how long we will be in this predicament, but what I will say is that no predicament is big enough to stop us from finding new ways to have fun.

In my free time, I often resort to watching YouTube or Netflix, which often turns into binge-watching my favorite show, after completing a whole lot of homework.
INQUIRER
“Do you have ambitions or aspirations?”
Some aspirations that I have for the near future would be to produce content with my art and writing and graduate with all A’s, to be honest. Some ambitions that I have for the farther future would be to start and grow my own interior design firm, that allows me to give back to the community at no cost to the recipients.

“Hi everyone! My name is Zion. I am 19 years old and I am a recent high school and film school graduate. Wow, time goes by so fast. I am 100% creative. I love to do just about everything. The majority of what I love has to do with art and beauty. Creating things is my passion. As a recent graduate, career-wise, I am still figuring out where I fit and what I want to do. But for now, I am the Social Media Marketing Manager for DIG TOONS MEDIA.”
INQUIRER
“Do you have ambitions or aspirations?”
“Yes! I am very ambitious. My family can account for the many times I have expressed my excitement about what I want to do. I know I have a heart for people. I aspire to be an influencer one day. Not exactly sure what kind, but as long as I can share my life, my personality, and pretty much everything I do, I’ll be fine. I hope to inspire, entertain, and bring joy to people. I want people to feel good and experience amazing things. Alongside being an influencer, I want to be a creator. I love coming up with ideas. I’ve discovered my love for producing things as well as creating many things.
INQUIRER
“What is your role in DIG TOONS MEDIA?”
“I am the team’s Social Media Marketing Manager and Producer-ish. I help develop and manage content across all our social media platforms. We are currently on Instagram, Youtube, and Facebook. We recently started a blog. When I’m not posting content, I help a lot in the idea phase or, what I like to call, the brainstorming process. This is where I assist by creating organized outlines for creative content. It’s putting steps in place for drafting ideas and producing them. I also film, do photoshoots, edit, and write for the blog.”
INQUIRER
“What is your title and what does it mean?”
“Haha, my title is quite long. Honestly, I didn’t know what it meant until the team explained it to me. This video clip will definitely help explain a little bit about me and my title.”

INQUIRER
“Welcome, Damon! Tell us about yourself.”
I’m Damon. I’ll be hitting the big 5-0 in a few weeks. I feel like I’m just getting started with my life – finally stepping into some things that I enjoy doing. It’s humbling growing a media company in this volatile social media age.
INQUIRER
“Do you have ambitions or aspirations?”
I have many. At the top of the list, though, is CREATING FUN for kids. Childhood is such a fleeting time period. Kids should have opportunities to enjoy it and make lasting memories.
INQUIRER
“What is your role in DIG TOONS MEDIA?”
Well, having co-founded DIG TOONS MEDIA, I help establish the vision and direction we’re going. I do a lot of concepting for the kids stories. And I’m also currently the main illustrator for the kids stories.
INQUIRER
“What is your title and what does it mean?”
I guess my title is the Jokester? It’s pretty much self-explanatory. I’m allergic to sadness and depression. I like to laugh. I wish I was funnier. So if I get an opportunity to steal someone else’s joke, I won’t hesitate. Otherwise, I’ve got to rely on my dry humor. My girls are too old to tickle them anymore. And my wife gets violent when I tickle her.
